We are feeling vulnerable these days. This is probably good for us in more ways than we can comprehend. So I awoke this morning clinging to truth:

Psalm 94-18-19

When I thought, “My foot slips,”

your steadfast love, O LORD,  held me up.

When the cares of my heart are many,

your consolations cheer my soul.

I realize that what my soul needs most is to HOPE IN GOD. To meditate on His word, to worship and give thanks for His goodness that remains steadfast whether in joy or sorrow. This is our One sure foundation and all other ground is sinking sand.  So this morning, even before the sun rises, my heart is singing His praises, namely this particular verse:

“Lord, I kneel at Your throne, needing grace for the hour

Holding onto Your Word, knowing Yours is the power,

Pressing on for the prize, through the sorrow and pain,

May I always rejoice and delight in Your name.

I’ll stand on Your promises.

I’ll stand by the grace You give.

I’ll stand when the darkness falls.

Upheld by Your right hand, I’ll stand.”
