A story worth repeating…
Our family is in the habit of looking and seeking out God’s glory everyday in some way shape or form.
If often happens in the car rides to and from school, out for walks, or even just gazing out the window into our own backyard. We’ll see deer, trees, the clouds, the moon, flowers, people passing by, turkey’s in our backyard and comment on God’s glory in it all. It has become a daily part of conversation, not just Mike and I initiating but now the kids as well.
One morning, not too long ago, our three year old son, Joshua, was stirring in the morning. Mike had already left for an early morning meeting and it was about 6:30am. Our bedrooms are all within close distance so you can hear almost anything. After hearing Joshua wrestling and poking with his window shade he came over to his gate and declared with GREAT enthusiasim…”Mama, God’s glory is up!” He had looked out the window and noticed the sun rising in the morning sky. Oh, how sweet the joy is from precious moments like these.
Update: Joshua now says when we are traveling in the car, “Mama and Daddy…God’s glory is following us!” As he sees the sun, moon or clouds all around us as we go. In addition to that Joshua has said that his favorite is, “pink God’s glory” and sometimes puts in a request for blue glory etc.
